Stone Age settlers in Egypt modelled the figurine of a woman with upraised arms. Perhaps she represents a priestess in a sacred dance. If so, then the earliest Egyptians have been sun-worshippers like their descendants, whose greatest god was Amen-Ra, sailing his way across the sky in the sun-boat.
